Dickie McCamey Elects Six New Shareholders

Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C., a leading national law firm based in Pennsylvania, is pleased to announce that six attorneys have been elected shareholders of the firm, effective January 1, 2020: Effie G. Alexander, Michael D. Bergonzi, Ronald J. Brown, Grant W. Cannon, Jeffrey R. Hantz, and Adam J. Ventura are the newest shareholders.

Effie G. Alexander serves as Chair of the firm’s Family Law Group. She concentrates her practice in the areas of collaborative family law, divorce and custody, and domestic relations, with a particular emphasis in family law. Ms. Alexander earned her J.D. at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.

Michael D. Bergonzi concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial transactions law and general corporate law, with a particular emphasis in Medicare compliance and workers’ compensation. Mr. Bergonzi completed his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2010 after earning his B.S. from Duquesne University.

Ronald J. Brown concentrates his practice in municipal finance and municipal law. He serves as solicitor to several municipal authorities. Mr. Brown also represents commercial and governmental lenders in structuring tax-exempt financings for school districts, municipalities, and authorities. Mr. Brown earned his J.D. at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.

Grant W. Cannon is a member of the firm’s Medical Malpractice Defense Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of health care law and professional liability, with a particular emphasis in medical malpractice. Mr. Cannon earned is J.D. from Widener University School of Law and received his B.S. from Grove City College.

Jeffrey R. Hantz concentrates his practice in the areas of construction and health care law, with a particular emphasis in medical malpractice. He is a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee where he served as Co-Chair of the Protection From Abuse Act project and the Child Custody Guardian ad Litem project. Mr. Hantz completed his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law after finishing his B.S. from The Schreyer Honors College at Penn State.

Adam J. Ventura focuses his practice primarily in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, real estate, and municipal law. In the areas of civil and commercial litigation, Mr. Ventura frequently represents clients in a variety of disputes ranging from breach of contract and trade secret actions to construction litigation and creditors’ rights matters. He completed his J.D. at the Duquesne University School of Law after earning his B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University.

With the election of the six new members, Dickie McCamey has 108 shareholders.
