Admiralty and Maritime

The Transportation Law Group at Dickie McCamey represents clients in a diverse range of admiralty and maritime matters. We understand that maritime companies face unique and challenging issues that demand attorneys with specific legal skills and insight into the industry. Our attorneys have substantial experience representing clients in both liability claims litigation and general corporate matters. Our client base is broad and includes towing companies, marina owners, landing operators, marine contractors, and other parties operating in the maritime sector.

Dickie McCamey attorneys are skilled in defending maritime clients against commercial losses and serious/catastrophic personal injury claims, including claims arising under the Jones Act, the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, and other maritime laws and statutes. When a liability claims surfaces, our lawyers launch a full investigation of the incident so that we can provide our clients with a detailed assessment of liability issues and damages. Our objective is to ensure that our clients have an accurate picture of potential risks and exposure so that they can make informed decisions regarding the claim. Whether a client decides to focus on achieving a reasonable settlement outside of court, or chooses to take the matter to trial, our attorneys work to achieve a result that is right for the client.

Beyond handling liability-related matters, our attorneys frequently advise maritime clients in a broad spectrum of legal issues, including employment and labor, real estate, and construction.
