Mr. Thomas, who was born near Philadelphia but grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is a rising second-year student and participates in the Corporate Law Society, the Black Law Student Association, the Federalist Society, and Mock Trial.
“We believe in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and fosters growth for all,” said Christopher T. Before enrolling at Penn State Law, Mr. Thomas attended Oral Roberts University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and graduated cum laude.
“I am very honored and excited for the opportunity to work and grow as a budding attorney this summer at Dickie McCamey,” Mr. Thomas said. “I have been working towards a career in law for a little over a decade now, and this opportunity is a validating step in what has been a long journey.”
“We are thrilled to collaborate once again with Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote on this impactful scholarship,” said Victor Romero, interim dean of Penn State Law and the School of International Affairs, Maureen B. The scholarship provides tuition support for first-year law students enrolled at Penn State Law in University Park, whose gender, race, ethnic, cultural and/or national background contribute to the diversity of the student body. In addition to the scholarship, a summer clerkship is awarded to the recipient. The firm has pledged $50,000 to the University over five years to fund the Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote Penn State Law Diversity Scholarship.
