How to Lease BLM land in the Wayne National Forest

On November 18, 2016, Anthony W. Jesko and John R. Seeds presented “Key Partner or Potential Adversary? The Bureau of Land Management’s Role in the Leasing and Development of the Wayne National Forest” at the Ohio State Bar Association’s annual Oil and Gas Law Update in Columbus, Ohio. With nearly 18,000 open-acres in the “dry gas” window of the Utica formation located in the Ohio counties of Monroe and Jefferson, exploration and production companies will soon focus on how to lease, produce, and market oil and gas owned and controlled by the federal government.
