Attorney Daly Addresses ‘The Cannabis Conundrum’ on National Workers’ Compensation Panel

What is the future of medicinal marijuana in the workplace?

Dorothy T. Daly, a shareholder of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. (DMC), spoke at Comcast’s First Annual Workers’ Compensation Litigation Summit, The Cannabis Conundrum. The national event was held on October 26, 2017, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Ms. Daly participated on a panel addressing legislative changes specific to medical/recreational marijuana; how states’ rights and federal oversight come into play; the impact of marijuana on OSHA directives; and how medical marijuana use will factor into full and final workers’ compensation settlements, lifetime medical, Medicare set-asides, and life care plans. The goal of the summit is to open a dialogue regarding the medicinal and recreational marijuana and opioid use and address the impact it will have on the workers’ compensation environment.

Ms. Daly has over two decades of legal experience. She concentrates her practice in workers’ compensation defense, workers’ compensation coverage litigation, and medical provider recovery. She earned her Juris Doctor at Rutgers University School of Law, cum laude.
