Profile & Honors

Abigail S. Barnes is an associate of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. She concentrates her practice in commercial litigation and product liability law, with a particular emphasis in technology. Ms. Barnes is particularly interested in the legal challenges of innovation, including technology implementation, licensing, data use, and cybersecurity. Her perspective is shaped in part by her supporting work on cyber threats, nonproliferation, and financial sanctions — insight that informs her growing focus on legal risk in the technology sector.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Barnes served as an articles editor for United States Administrative Law Judge Charles E. Woode. While in law school, she externed for Ohio State Supreme Court Chief Justice Sharon L. Kennedy. Additionally, Ms. Barnes was a legal extern for the Ministry of Justice in Pristina, Kosovo, during the summer of 2022.
