Joseph Golian and Alan Torrance Named 2026 Best Lawyers^® “Lawyer of the Year”

Joseph J. Golian was recently recognized by Best Lawyers as the 2026 “Lawyer of the Year” for Transportation Law in Columbus, and W. Alan Torrance, Jr. was recently named as the 2026 “Lawyer of the Year” for Construction Law in Pittsburgh.

Only a single lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is honored as the “Lawyer of the Year,” making this a significant and coveted accolade. These lawyers are selected based on particularly impressive voting averages received during the peer review assessments.

Mr. Golian is the Managing Attorney of the Columbus office. He concentrates his practice in the areas of tort defense, insurance defense, civil litigation, commercial litigation, premises liability, and risk/claims management, with a particular emphasis in commercial vehicle transportation.

Mr. Torrance is the firm’s Marketing Director and Co-Chair of the Construction Law Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of business torts and commercial litigation with a particular emphasis in construction and surety law.
