Dickie McCamey Attorney Named Chair of North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Section

Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote shareholder Michael W. Ballance has recently been named Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys (NCADA).

Mr. Ballance, the Managing Attorney of Dickie McCamey’s Raleigh location, will hold the position through 2021.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead and to work with such an outstanding group of attorneys in the field of workers’ compensation law,” Mr. Ballance said. “I look forward to helping the Workers’ Compensation Group grow and improve as a valuable resource for fellow defense attorneys and for our clients in defending workers’ compensation claims in North Carolina.”

NCADA’s Workers’ Compensation Practice Group consists of leading attorneys that provide networking forums and education for attorneys defending the interests of employers, state and local governments, and insurers in workers’ compensation claims at the North Carolina Industrial Commission and in the courts.

Mr. Ballance is an Adjunct Professor at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and Campbell Law Schools where he has taught Workers’ Compensation Law and Practice for more than 15 years.
