Eric M. Kociba

Eric M. Kociba is a senior associate of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. He concentrates his practice in the areas of business torts, commercial litigation, construction law, and professional malpractice, with a particular emphasis in professional liability.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kociba practiced as a litigator with a law office in Farmington Hills utilizing over two decades of experience. He has also worked as in-house counsel for a billion-dollar fuel trading company and an internet data company. His concentrations have included cases with complexities ranging from design and construction of industrial plants, the proper modification of airliners, defamation matters and social media sharing, transportation matters, and product defect cases.

Before entering private practice, Mr. Kociba was a law clerk to Justice Marilyn Jean Kelly of the Michigan Supreme Court. He also served as a policy analyst as part of the central staff for the Michigan State House of Representatives.
