Southworth Speaks to Allegheny County Medical Society about Medical Marijuana
James W. Southworth, a principal of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. (“DMC”), will speak to the Allegheny County Medical Society (“ACMS”) on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. His presentation, entitled “Medical Marijuana and Its Effect on the Workplace in the Commonwealth of PA,” addresses the legal pathway for medical marijuana in Pennsylvania, the link between legal medical marijuana and workplace policies, and how to update workplace policies and procedures based on the latest information. Mr. Southworth will speak to Practice Managers at the ACMS headquarters on Ridge Avenue on the North Shore.
Mr. Southworth concentrates his practice in the areas of employment and labor law. He has provided advice and counsel on virtually all employment-related concerns, from hiring procedures to termination and severance issues. He speaks regularly to audiences of all sizes and compositions on a variety of workplace topics and assists clients with in-house training for management staff.
He earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law School.
