Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C., a national, full-service law firm, will conduct “The Pittsburgh Tech & Data Summit” hosted by Duquesne University School of Law on November 1. The summit’s theme revolves around diverse perspectives from our region’s leaders on the most pressing issues regarding the use of technology, interactions with consumer data, and the state of the tech industry. The organizers of this event, shareholder Jason L. Ott and law clerk Derrick L. Maultsby, Jr., lead the firm’s Tech & Data Group.
“Pittsburgh has grown into a global player in the advancement of technology in many aspects. While there are many events occurring all over Pittsburgh every week, the conversation seems siloed among the different sectors affecting and shaping our technology industry,” Ott explained. “The Pittsburgh Tech & Data Summit will serve as a multidisciplinary event, gathering professionals from the tech, legal, and business sectors to encourage a comprehensive exchange of ideas to promote growth and progress across those sectors and beyond.”
The Pittsburgh Tech & Data Summit will address topics such as facial recognition, the state of startups in Pittsburgh, privacy, artificial intelligence, and smart cities. The panelists and moderators are culturally and professionally diverse industry leaders, representing the Summit’s multidisciplinary approach.
The Summit’s corporate sponsors – commercial real estate firm JLL, global sales consulting firm CASTUS, and Microsoft – similarly represent diverse fields as all work in the tech sector in their own unique ways. Dickie McCamey looks forward to the Summit providing significant insight into the continuing development of Pittsburgh’s thriving tech industry through the combined efforts of its Tech & Data Group and an outstanding list of sponsors, moderators, and panelists.
Dickie McCamey, a fixture in the Pittsburgh legal landscape since 1889, has shown a steady expansion and currently has 430 employees in 20 locations throughout 11 states.
