James P. Killeen is a shareholder of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. and practices out of the firm’s Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, office. Mr. Killeen serves as counsel for all aspects of transactional real estate law, including: commercial and residential acquisitions and dispositions; commercial and residential development, including retail, housing, industrial, office, hotels and destination uses, and condominiums; economic development, including tax incentives and public-private partnerships; land use, planning and zoning; commercial and residential leasing for both landlord and tenant; commercial loan documentation for both lender and borrower; land finance; title curative; preparation of all legal instruments involving land use; real estate settlement services, including title insurance policy issuance and escrow services; and homeowners’/condominium association representation. Beyond his background in transactional services, Mr. Killeen has served as retained counsel for national title insurance companies developing substantial experience handling real estate litigation, including: missing interests and/or heirs; title insurance litigation and coverage; agent defalcation; property boundary disputes; landlocked parcels, easement, right-of-way and access issues; quieting title; mortgage foreclosure and workout; and title curative.
