Dickie McCamey Announces New Shareholders

Pittsburgh-based law firm Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. (“DMC”) is pleased to announce the following associates have been elected Shareholders in the firm:

Josalyn L. Allen – North Carolina
Derek M. Brondou – New York, Ohio, West Virginia
Melissa B. Catello – Pennsylvania
Piero P. Cozza – Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania
J. Brian Lynn – Pennsylvania

Ms. Allen concentrates her practice in the areas of appellate practice and insurance defense, with a particular emphasis in workers’ compensation. Additionally, Ms. Allen assists in mentoring new lawyers within her Charlotte, North Carolina, office. During her law school career, she completed an externship with the Honorable John M. Tyson at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She earned her J.D. at the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University in 2006 and received her B.S. in Business Management from the North Carolina State University where she graduated magna cum laude.

Mr. Brondou is a member of the firm’s Insurance Law and Litigation and Toxic Tort Groups. He concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance defense, general liability, personal injury, premises liability, medical malpractice, and product liability, with a particular emphasis in toxic tort law. Representative industries include retail, construction, transportation, and manufacturing. Mr. Brondou is actively involved in all phases of the defense of litigation on behalf of product manufacturers, suppliers, contracting companies, and premises owners involved in asbestos and diacetyl litigation. He earned his J.D. at The University of Akron School of Law in 2000 and his B.A. in history at Canisius College.

Ms. Catello’s practice is civil litigation, with a concentration in professional liability matters, including personal injury claims, wrongful death claims, medical malpractice claims, and product liability claims. Since she started in practice over a decade ago, Ms. Catello has tried cases to verdict in courts throughout Western Pennsylvania. She also routinely represents plaintiffs in protection from abuse hearings in Allegheny County. Ms. Catello earned her J.D., cum laude, at the University of Miami School of Law in 2003. She received her B.S., in Criminology, summa cum laude, from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Cozza is a member of the firm’s Estate Planning and Administration, Insurance Law and Litigation, Real Estate, Toxic Tort, and Workers’ Compensation Groups. He concentrates his practice in the areas of estates and trusts, real estate transactions, and workers’ compensation. In addition, Mr. Cozza handles insurance defense matters, including asbestos defense, and general insurance litigation as well as small business consulting. He earned his J.D. in 2000 at Capital University Law School, graduating with honors. He received both his M.A. and B.A. in Criminal Justice at Kent State University.

Mr. Lynn concentrates his practice in the area of health care law, with a particular emphasis in medical malpractice litigation and appellate practice. His practice includes defending major university and community hospitals, as well as physicians, nurses, technicians, and other health care providers. In addition to his health care practice, Mr. Lynn has experience in a wide array of legal matters, including insurance defense, oil/gas litigation, premises liability, and other personal injury related matters. Mr. Lynn earned his J.D. at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2006, cum laude. He received his B.B.A. in Finance from Ohio University.
