Christopher A. Lovato is a shareholder of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. and a member of the firm’s Commercial Law and Litigation Group, Real Estate Group, and Municipal Law Group. He represents a variety of business entities and municipalities and assists his clients with contractual and litigation issues.

Mr. Lovato is also a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee where he serves as Co-Chair of the Protection From Abuse Act project.

Professional Accomplishments:

  • David B. Fawcett Pro Bono Award – 2nd Annual Recipient (awarded based upon a combination of hours dedicated to pro bono work and the results obtained in performing that work)

Representative Matters:

  • Defense verdict in favor of client at trial against claims that it was using an easement beyond its intended scope
  • Successful summary judgment representing a university against claim that it failed to prevent a third-party criminal incident
  • Successful dispositive motion representing an attorney in a malpractice action
  • Successful representation of clients at assessment appeal hearings, which resulted in significant tax reductions
